On October 19, 2023, under the organization of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, a round table on "I have always been proud to be an Azerbaijani" was held in the Center's assembly hall. The director of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, Ph.D. on physics, doc. Yusif Shukurlu noted that in 1991, our intellectuals, who considered and understood the sad and complicated situation that happened inside and outside the country, turned to the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and our people made a very wise and historical choice and elected the great leader as the President of the country. He emphasized that since Heydar Aliyev came to power, a democratic state was established in Azerbaijan, a civil war was prevented, a truce was reached with Armenia, the Azerbaijani army was reorganized, discipline was strengthened, important political and economic reforms were started, thus the foundation of development was laid.
