On September 14, 2023 the next Scientific Council of ANAS, Sheki Regional Scientific Center was held. The director of Sheki RSC, PhD on Physics, Docent Y.H.Shukurlu wished success to the work of Scientific Council and introduced the participants to the agenda. The agenda was voted and adopted.  

Y.Shukurlu informed about the first issue on the agenda- the changes in the structure of Scientific Council, he also informed the scientific secretary of ANAS, Sheki RSC E.Abdurahmanov’s appeal about releasing his position and the discussions were held, and the decision was adopted. The scientific worker of “Ecological biophysics” department Vafa Atayeva was appointed as a scientific secretary.

In relation to the discussion of the initial version of the book "Outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev and Shaki" prepared by Sheki RSC in connection with the "Year of Haydar Aliyev" in 2023, the senior researcher of the "History, archeology and ethnography" department of Sheki RSC, PhD on pedagogy, professor Firadun Ibrahimov gave information about the structure of the book, the chapters and paragraphs contained in it, and also said that sericulture was one of the priority directions in Azerbaijan, whether during the period of Tsarist Russia or Soviet rule, and that the development of sericulture was especially focused on during the first reign of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan.

Information on the issue of obtaining, selective selection and systematization of information based on the newspapers "Sheki Fehlesi", İpekchi" and archival materials was given by Gunel Musayeva, the chief specialist of the "Scientific and technical information" department, and Namig Abdurahmanov, the head of the "Work with documents" department. Leading researcher of "Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography" department, PhD on philology, docent Kamil Adishirinov pointed out that the information obtained from "Sheki Fehlesi", "Ipekchi" newspapers and archival materials has been systematized, involved in scientific analysis and will be handed over at the end of October.

Head of the "Landscape" department, PhD on geol-min Huseyn Mustafabayli brought to mind the structure of the book "Landscape-diagnostic characteristics of the natural resources of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions of Azerbaijan". He noted that the characteristic features of climate, relief, hydrology, soil and vegetation of the regions were taken into account in the writing of the book, and the book will be presented to the scientific community by the end of 2023.

Gunel Musayeva, chief specialist of the "Scientific and technical information" department, informed about the books prepared for publication in connection with the 50th anniversary of Sheki RSC and said that 6 books are planned to be printed in Sheki RSC this year, two of which have already been published, the other 4 the book will be published by the end of this year.

Reyhan Manafova, the head of the "Public relations" department, noted that the event on "Deep study of Heydar Aliyev and the ideas of "Azerbaijanism"" in connection with the 100th anniversary of Haydar Aliyev, could be organized at the end of September 2023, and a corresponding decision was made to organize the event.
