On August 12, 2026, a large group of bloggers specializing in tourism and history—organized by the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan—visited the museum of PhD in history Akif Mammadli, a researcher with the Balakan group of the History and Epigraphy department at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS.
During the visit, Akif Mammadli provided the guests with detailed information about the Center’s scientific activities in the northwestern region and the research conducted there; he also introduced them to the examples of historical and cultural heritage preserved in the museum. Afterward, he presented the guests with books published by Sheki Regional Scientific Center.
One of the primary goals of the visit was to introduce the rich historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan's regions to a wider audience and to promote tourism opportunities. In this regard, the meeting held was of particular importance for promoting both scientific heritage and a deep connection to the native land.
