An article co-authored by the employees of ANAS Sheki Regional Scientific Center—deputy director for scientific affairs Vafa Atayeva, scientific secretary Ayshan Salmanova, head of the department Ilgar Ismayilov, and scientific researcher Khayal Valibayov—has been published in a journal indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and other databases.

The research investigated the potential for obtaining anthocyanin-rich bio-extracts from the autumn leaves of the Smilax excelsa L. plant, which is typically regarded as agricultural waste.
