The employees of the department of History and Epigraphy of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS – PhD in History Akif Mammadli and PhD in Philosophy Aladdin Sultanov went on a scientific expedition in Balakan district.

During the expedition, research was conducted in the historical temples and shrines of the district, and architectural and epigraphic monuments were examined on site. Initial research was conducted to read the inscriptions on the stone inscriptions and bring them into scientific circulation.

In the next stage of the expedition, it is planned to continue research in other historical and religious monuments of Balakan district.
