On 30.06.2026, employees of the Literary and Cultural Environment and Folklore department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS - head of the department, PhD Irada Yusifova, research worker Tural Adishirinov and employee of the center Shahmar Babayev visited Mamrukh and Chobankol villages of Zagatala district on a folklore expedition.

The expedition participants first met with the director of Mamrukh village secondary school, Vasila Hajiyeva, history teacher Sakit Hasanov, primary school teacher Gulendar Davudova and fine arts teacher Ahmed Davudov, talked about the folklore heritage of the region, and collected various folklore samples.

Then, in Chobankol village, with the participation and support of the village executive representative Tajeddin Jumayev and his deputy Murad Nurullayev, the expedition members met with the village elders Shakir Ibrahimov and Munasib Abdullayev. During the meeting, a broad exchange of views was held on the region's historical, cultural heritage and literary environment, and issues of local folklore, traditions and the preservation of cultural memory were discussed.
