On June 29, 2026, the 3rd Scientific Council meeting of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS was held.

The meeting was attended by 14 members of the Scientific Council, heads of departments and scientific workers.

The director of Sheki RSC, Doctor of Philology, docent Kamil Adishirinov introduced the members of the Scientific Council to the issues on the agenda. The issues included in the agenda were put to a vote and unanimously adopted.

Kamil Adishirinov reported about the first issue of the meeting was "On the results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activity report submitted by Sheki RSC to the Presidium of ANAS for the first half of 2026 regarding the decisions No. 14/1 and 14/2 of the Presidium of ANAS dated June 01, 2026".

The director stated that during the reporting period, the scientific departments of the center operated in accordance with the approved thematic plans, and research was continued to study the natural resources, biodiversity, history, archeology, folklore and cultural heritage of the region. He noted that the report submitted to the Presidium of ANAS on the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of Sheki RSC for the first half of 2026 was positively assessed and considered satisfactory.

The director stated that, in addition, the Presidium of ANAS provided relevant recommendations for future activities in the direction of improving the quality of research, expanding international scientific cooperation, increasing the number of publications in high-impact journals, and expanding the application of the obtained scientific results.

He expressed his confidence that the tasks set will continue to be fulfilled in a timely and high-quality manner, the efficiency of scientific activity will be further increased, and research serving the socio-economic development of the region will be successfully continued.

Then, the scientific secretary of Sheki RSC, Vafa Atayeva, made a presentation on the second issue of the agenda - "On the digitalization of reports in the Presidium of ANAS and their application in a new model."

She said that a new model is being applied in ANAS, which envisages the implementation of the process of preparing, presenting and evaluating activity reports of scientific institutions on a modern digital platform. The main goal of the new approach is to collect scientific and scientific-organizational activity indicators in a single electronic database, increase the efficiency of preparing reports, ensure transparency and accuracy of data, as well as conduct more efficient statistical analysis.

Vafa Atayeva noted that the new digital system will allow reports to be prepared on the basis of a single standard and archived electronically. She also noted that the necessary organizational measures will be taken in Sheki RSC to implement a new reporting model for 2027, ensure the effective use of the digital platform by employees, and prepare reports in accordance with new requirements.

Then, the current status of the dissertations of the dissertations of the dissertations awarded in Sheki RSC was discussed. Dissertation candidates - Vafa Atayeva, Ayshan Salmanova, Tarana Abdullayeva and Aygun Ismayilova provided information on the progress of their research work, the scientific results achieved and the tasks ahead.

The members of the Scientific Council voiced their recommendations on improving the quality of research, increasing the number of articles in journals indexed in international scientific databases and completing dissertations.

Kamil Adishirinov noted that Sheki Regional Scientific Center regularly monitors the scientific activities of dissertation candidates, provides them with the necessary scientific and methodological support for their formation as highly qualified scientific personnel and successfully completing their dissertations.

Relevant decisions were made on the issues discussed.

During the discussion of current issues, the book "Azerbaijani Fairy Tales (Sheki and Surrounding Villages)" compiled by docent Ulduz Murshudova was discussed and highly evaluated from a scientific point of view, and its publication was considered expedient and recommended for publication.
