On May 14, 2026 the next monitoring work was realized by the employees of Ecological geography department of ANAS, Sheki Regional Scientific Center- head of the department, PhD in geography Gafgaz Agabalayev, scientific researchers Agil Mustafayev, Elvin Rustamov and Elvin Garayev  in Gakh region. The monitoring work was realized in Ilisu and Lekit villages, as well as the areas of the same villages.

The main purpose of the monitoring was to determine the impact of tourism facilities operating in the areas on the environment, as well as the current state of ecological balance. As a result of the observations, it was determined that the environment is protected during the operation of tourism facilities, and the areas are protected from household waste and other polluting factors.
