Employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center participated in the conference held in Karabakh

On April 23–25, 2026, the “Karabakh-6 International Scientific Research Congress” was held in Shusha city in online and offline format, organized by Baku Eurasian University.

Along with scientists and researchers from different countries, employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS also participated in the conference.

Head of the department of History and Epigraphy of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, PhD Rahim Hasanov "The assistance of the Ottoman state against the Armenian armed formations in Sheki at the beginning of the 20th century (1917-1918)", research worker Elchin Valiyev "On the socio-economic situation of the city of Sheki during the years of independence (1991-1993)", research worker PhD in agriculture  Mubariz Pashayev delivered a report entitled "Biodiversity of the common medlar (mespilus germanica I) fruit growing in the North-West region of Azerbaijan".

The conference also featured presentations by other employees of the Sheki RSC - head of the department of Plant Biodiversity and Genefund, PhD in biology Farhad Azizov, researcher Aygun Ismayilova, researcher Songul Mammadova on their joint article "Biodiversity of in situ conserved tree and shrub species in the gene pool garden of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS", head of the department of Ecological Biophysics, PhD in biology Ilgar Ismayilov, scientific secretary Vafa Atayeva, scientific worker Khayal Velibeyov, Vafa Mammadli and Elvin Garayev gave online presentations on the joint article "Study of biophysical and biochemical indicators of ecologically clean, unpolluted water sources", as well as on the topic of "The role of craftsmanship in the development of cultural tourism in Sheki" by library director Gunel Musayeva.

A wide exchange of views was held around the presentations, and certificates were presented to the participants.
