By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated April 9, 2018, March 27 is celebrated as "Science Day" in the country every year.

Science, being one of the main pillars of the development of society, plays an important role in the progress of humanity. Thanks to scientific achievements, the progress achieved in various spheres of life serves the socio-economic development of countries, the application of innovations and the increase in well-being.

March 27 - this significant day is of particular importance in terms of once again emphasizing the importance of science, increasing the interest of the younger generation in science and paying attention to the development of scientific activity.
