On January 30, 2026, Elvin Garayev, an employee of the Ecological Geography Department of Shaki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, conducted ecological monitoring work in the Kurmukchay area of the Gakh region.

According to the results of the monitoring, a decrease in the water level in the river was observed due to the winter season, and an increase in the volume of the conifer cones in the river area was also recorded.
