On January 08–09, 2026, Elvin Garayev, an employee of the Ecological Geography Department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, conducted ecological monitoring work in the Shin River bed.
As part of the monitoring, water samples were taken from a total of 5 different points, including various tributaries of the river (Mehdili, Gorugarasi and Eyridere), a boiling spring (Goshabulag), as well as a separate stream called Dostdag. The samples were analyzed by employees of the Ecological Biophysics Department of Sheki RSC in laboratory conditions using electrochemical and physicochemical methods.
As a result of the analyzes, the main parameters of the water were determined, such as pH, oxidation-reduction potential (Eh), total mineralization (total concentration).
