On December 22, 2025, a group of employees led by the Head of the Science and Education Department of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Sarkhan Khavari, visited Sheki to evaluate the activities of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, discuss the quality of the results of scientific research and areas of application.
The Director of Sheki RSC, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu welcomed the guests and made a brief presentation on the activities of the center and future plans. He spoke about the important research and projects carried out by Sheki Regional Scientific Center in recent years, emphasizing the role of the center in promoting scientific development in the region.
The Scientific Secretary of the Center, Vafa Atayeva, presented the annual report of Sheki Regional Scientific Center for 2025. The report contains extensive information on scientific results, research carried out by the center, as well as scientific and mass events.
Then, a wide discussion of the scientific results obtained was held with the heads of 9 scientific research departments of Sheki Regional Scientific Center. Each department head presented the scientific results obtained in his field, explained in detail the progress of the research, the difficulties encountered and the development directions to be followed in the future.
Head of the Science and Education Department of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Sarkhan Khavari, made a speech and stated that today's report was held at a very high level. Evaluating the activities of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, he emphasized that the scientific research of this institution is conducted with a multidisciplinary approach and covers various scientific fields. Sarkhan Khavari noted that the significant scientific research conducted in Sheki RSC on the history, archeology, genesis, national-spiritual values, ecology, landscape, economy and other areas of the region is noteworthy.
Sarkhan Khavari also spoke about the high scientific level of the scientists who spoke and appreciated their scientific approach to the problem, theoretical and methodological points of view, as well as the use of terminology in the lexicon. He noted that despite the fact that the employees of the Shaki RSC are hundreds of kilometers away from the capital, this physical and geographical distance does not create any obstacles to their scientific activities. Sarkhan Khavari said that the employees of the center are already operating in a "virtual space" and scientific work is progressing in accordance with modern requirements.
At the end of his speech, Sarkhan Khavari wished success to the director of the Shaki RSC Yusif Shukurlu and the entire team in their future work.
Finally, the guests were presented with books published by the employees of Shaki Regional Scientific Center, reflecting the results of the center's research and scientific development in recent years, as well as providing detailed information on important topics in various fields of science.
