On December 12, 2025, the staff of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS visited the monument to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev.

As a continuation of the event, a meeting dedicated to the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev, a brilliant personality who left an indelible mark on the history of modern statehood of Azerbaijan, was held at  Sheki Regional Scientific Center.

First, the dear memory of the Great Leader was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the event, the director of Sheki RSC, PhD in Physics, docent  Yusif Shukurlu spoke about the importance of Heydar Aliyev's political legacy in the development of Azerbaijani science, culture and statehood. He noted that Heydar Aliyev's wise policy and strategic thinking led our country out of the most difficult times and created solid foundations for the future development of Azerbaijan.

In their speeches, the scientists of the center emphasized the care that Heydar Aliyev showed for science and education. It was noted that the importance attached by the Great Leader to the development of intellectual potential is still bearing fruit today, and his science policy remains relevant in the modern era. It was emphasized that the National Leader Heydar Aliyev will always live in the memory of the Azerbaijani people as a great politician, wise statesman and symbol of statehood, his legacy will remain an example for future generations and will guide the development strategy of Azerbaijan. At the end of the event, a documentary film about the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev was shown.
