On December 10, 2025, Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS held an event on the theme "Heydar Aliyev on the Guard of Science" at Sheki Heydar Aliyev Center on the occasion of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev's Memorial Day.

Earlier, an exhibition reflecting the life and socio-political activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was reviewed.

The memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of our lands were commemorated with a minute of silence.

At the event, Elchin Valiyev, a research fellow at the Department of History and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC, delivered a comprehensive report and provided detailed information about the rich life path of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, his first and second rise to the leadership of the country, and his significant contributions to the political, social and economic development of Azerbaijan during those periods. He emphasized that the reforms implemented by Heydar Aliyev in the field of public administration, the steps aimed at strengthening national statehood, and his historical role in the formation of modern Azerbaijan were specially noted. He stated that the political path of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev is being consistently and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev today. In his speech, he noted that the Victory achieved in 2020 was based on the strategic line determined by the Great Leader, the steps taken to strengthen the country's military, political and economic power.

In her speech, Irada Yusifova, Head of the Literary and Cultural Environment and Folklore Department of Sheki RSC, PhD in Philology, spoke about the high attention and care shown by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev to science and culture. She recalled the important projects implemented by the Great Leader to strengthen scientific potential, protect cultural heritage, and develop the literary environment in Azerbaijan, and brought to attention that this policy is being continued today.

At the end, a documentary film about the life and socio-political activities of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown.
