On November 28, 2025, the presentation of the book “The Triumphal Path of Sovereignty: Realized Ideas, Legal Basis, Political Parallels” by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Law and Human Rights, PhD in Law Vafaddin Ibayev was held at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS.

The dear memory of the sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our lands was commemorated with respect.

Opening the event, the director of the Sheki RSC, PhD in Physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu greeted the guests and introduced the participants to the author Vafaddin Ibayev. He stated that the main purpose of presenting the book “The Triumphal Path of Sovereignty: Realized Ideas, Legal Basis, Political Parallels” for discussion at Sheki RSC is to strengthen Azerbaijani statehood, promote the idea of sovereignty on scientific and legal grounds, as well as share research conducted in the direction of evaluating modern political processes with regional scholars and expand the scientific discussion environment, and wished success to the event.

Vafaddin Ibayev, the author of the book “The Triumphal Path of Sovereignty: Realized Ideas, Legal Basis, Political Parallels”, made a speech and provided detailed information about the content of the book. The speaker noted that the work consists of 33 chapters and the research was conducted in three main directions. The book systematically analyzes the appeals, speeches and interviews of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor to the statehood policy implemented by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, to the people during the 44-day Patriotic War.

He also noted that the book extensively analyzes the implementation of the ideas put forward by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev regarding the resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and in this context, the facts related to army building, strengthening the spirit of patriotism, confirmation of Azerbaijan's fair position in the international arena, and the implementation of other strategic issues are analyzed and brought to attention on a scientific basis.

Head of the Department of History and Epigraphy of the Sheki RSC, PhD Rahim Hasanov expressed his deep gratitude to the author for the creation of such a successful work and drew special attention to the interesting points contained in the book. He noted that the rich literature used during the preparation of the book is a clear indicator of the author's broad worldview, deep knowledge on the subject, and extremely careful approach to research.

Rahim Hasanov added that the work presents facts from the destructive position of Hitler's Germany, along with examples from ancient and medieval history. In addition, quotes from the ideas of the world political giant Winston Churchill and the Chinese sage Sun Tzu further increase the scientific depth of the topic. The analysis based on examples from historians, politicians, writers, as well as religious sources in the book allows for a multifaceted approach to explaining the issue.

Rahim Hasanov noted that the speeches of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev have a high content and are non-negotiable, but this book is of great importance in terms of more complete delivery of these speeches to the general public.

Akif Mammadli, senior research fellow of the Department of History and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC, expressed his satisfaction with speaking at the presentation of the book “The Triumphal Path of Sovereignty: Realized Ideas, Legal Basis, Political Parallels”, and emphasized that the book is not only a scientific study, but also a valuable source that presents a multifaceted picture of the path of sovereignty of our country from an ideological, political and historical perspective. He noted that the book skillfully shows parallels between both classical and modern political events, and involves various philosophical approaches and historical examples in the analysis, which are an indicator of the author's broad view of the subject.

In his speech, Elshan Abdurahmanov, head of the Archaeology and Ethnography department of Sheki RSC, commented that the book explains on scientific grounds how the national ideology formed on the basis of the statehood philosophy of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the resolute political will of President Ilham Aliyev gave its real results in the 44-day Patriotic War, and emphasized that the book will become a reliable source for historians, lawyers, and readers interested in socio-political processes, and expressed his gratitude to the author.

Finally, the books authored by Vafaddin Ibayev were donated to the library of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, and the books published by Sheki RSC were donated to the library of the Institute of Law and Human Rights.
