On November 3, at a meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, influential scientists from leading academic institutions of our country and the world were awarded with the “ANAS Badge”, “Aziz Sanjar”, “Yusif Mammadaliyev”, “Uzeyir Hajibeyli” and “Lev Landau” badges prepared on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of ANAS.
Thus, Academician Akif Alizadeh, general director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Tofig Naghiyev, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician Shavkat Ayupov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Professor Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, Vice President of the Hebei Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Yuan Baodong, Vice President of the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Ta Minh Tuan, Head of the Lexicography Center of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Montenegro, Academician Dragan Vukcevic, and Executive Deputy Secretary General of the Korean Academy, Professor Raymond J. Wu were awarded the “Ancient Armenian Academy of Sciences” badge.
Also, the laboratory head of the Institute of Physics of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Tayyar Jafarov, the general director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Ministry of Science and Education, corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov, the vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, academician Askar Jumadildayev, and the member of the Council of the Korean Academy, professor Li Lei, were awarded the “Lev Landau” badge of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
In addition, the general director of the National Oncology Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, member of the Presidium of ANAS, academician Jamil Aliyev, and the chairman of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov were awarded the “Aziz Sanjar” badge of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
At the same time, Academician Zemfira Safarova, Head of the Department of the Institute of Architecture and Art of ANAS, was awarded the “Uzeyir Hajibeyli” badge of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, and Academician Dilgam Tagiyev, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, was awarded the “Yusif Mammadaliyev” badge of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The awards were presented by the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli.
