On September 19, 2025, a round table was held at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS on the occasion of "September 20, State Sovereignty Day".

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.

The memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the integrity of our lands were commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the event, the director of Sheki RSC, PhD in physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu, brought to attention that the "State Sovereignty Day" was celebrated in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated September 19, 2024. He noted that thanks to the historic Victory achieved by the heroic sons of the Motherland under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, this day of the calendar is celebrated in the indivisible and integral lands of Azerbaijan, where our glorious flag flies.

Then, the head of the Department of History and Epigraphy of the Sheki RSC, PhD in History, Rahim Hasanov, made a speech. The speaker spoke about the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War that began on September 27, 2020 in response to Armenian provocations, the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country as a result of the successful anti-terrorist operation carried out on September 19-20, 2023, the importance of declaring "State Sovereignty Day", and emphasized that all of this has become an important event in the history of Azerbaijan.
