The meeting was attended by 12 members of the Scientific Council, heads of departments, and scientific workers.
Opening the meeting, the Director of Sheki RSC, PhD in Physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu introduced the participants to the issues on the agenda. The agenda was put to a vote and adopted.
Vafa Atayeva, Scientific Secretary of the Center, reported about the first item on the agenda was the semi-annual report of Sheki RSC prepared on the basis of the Order No. 67 dated June 10, 2025 "On semi-annual reports on the results of scientific and scientific-organizational activities of scientific institutions and organizations, regional scientific departments and centers of ANAS in 2025".
She reported that in the first half of 2025, 20 scientific-research works were carried out in 6 directions and 10 topics in 8 departments and important scientific results were achieved.
She also added that the scientific-organizational activities of the Sheki RSC also had a wide scope. Thus, in the first half of 2025, Sheki RSC was the organizer and participant of more than 20 events in the north-western region, and about 200 news and information were published in social networks and websites, as well as in cooperation with the media.
According to the decision of the Scientific Council, the semi-annual report of Sheki RSC was considered satisfactory.
The second item on the agenda was "On the establishment of the departments of "Literary and cultural environment, folklore", "History and epigraphy", "Archaeology and ethnography" at Sheki RSC of ANAS at the expense of internal resources and existing staff units", approved by the decisions of the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences No. 14/11, 14/12, 14/13 dated June 2, 2025" Ulviyya Osmanova, Head of the Human Resources Department, informed the relevant decisions.
The scientific composition of the newly created departments was determined at the expense of existing staff units and approved by the Scientific Council.
Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of Sheki RSC, Doctor of Philology, docent Kamil Adishirinov, informed about the current item on the agenda "On the journal to be established by Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS".
According to the decision of the Scientific Council, the editorial board and members of the "Scientific Research" journal of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS have been approved.
