On June 13,  June 15 National liberation Day was celebrated at Sheki Regional Scientific Center.

The memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the integrity and indivisibility of our lands was commemorated.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.

A video dedicated to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown.

Opening the event, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of Sheki RSC, Doctor of Philology, docent Kamil Adishirinov noted that there are days in the history of every nation that decide its fate, that National Liberation Day plays the role of a turning point in the history of modern statehood of our people, and the Azerbaijani people have always stood out among the nations of the world in terms of political leadership. He drew attention to the decisive role played by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in preserving our state independence and the future development of our republic, and gave the floor to Elshan Abdurahmanov, a scientific worker at the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy of the Sheki RSC.

In his report, Elshan Abdurahmanov spoke about the historical roots of the path leading to the National Liberation Day, and, looking at this difficult path that the Azerbaijani people have passed, drew attention to the comprehensive political activity of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. He presented the political measures implemented by the Great Leader in chronological order and in a synchronous form. He noted that during the leadership of the Great Leader in Azerbaijan, the preservation of stability in the republic, development in social, economic, cultural, military and all spheres, improvement of the socio-economic situation, implementation of an army-building policy, successful diplomatic steps, laying the foundation of an oil strategy, and the positive impact of all these on the development of science and education are part of successful political steps. He pointed out that the successful continuation of the political steps taken by the fundamental national leader by President Ilham Aliyev is one of the important steps towards improving the welfare of the Azerbaijani people, who have given geniuses to the world, and the development of the state.
