On April 16, 2025, the employees of the Department of Ecological Geography of Sheki RSC of ANAS - Head of the Department, PhD in Geography Gafgaz Agabalayev, scientific worker Agil Mustafayev and Elvin Garayev carried monitoring work in the Kish and Shin rivers.

According to the information provided by Gafgaz Agabalayev, although no floods were recorded in the Kish and Shin rivers during the intense rainfall, it is observed that the water level increases and a difference in the height of the sediments in the river bed occurs.
