On February 11, 2025, a Scientific Council meeting was held at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS.

18 members of the Scientific Council and scientific workers attended in the meeting.

Opening the meeting, the general director of Sheki RSC, PhD in physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu, after introducing the participants to the issues on the agenda, informed about the first issue on the agenda - the additions to the initial version of the project "Development Concept and Road Map of ANAS for 2025-2030". The Director voiced proposals for the Road Map of Sheki RSC for 2025-2030 with 6-point additions on scientific and organizational activities and scientific fields, and after the proposals were approved, it was decided to send them to the Science and Education Department of ANAS.

Yusif Shukurlu noted that in order to ensure the implementation of the activities under the Roadmap item "Expanding research on clustering using innovative methods and tools in cocooning and sericulture", it is necessary to build a modern hatchery for breeding wild silkworms in the experimental area. For this purpose, a decision was made to send an appeal to the relevant agencies.

The second item on the agenda - "On the results of the Accounting Department of Sheki RSC for 2024" - was reported by chief accountant Ugur Suleymanov.

The third item - "Work plans for scientific research of Sheki RSC for 2025" - was approved.

The fourth item on the agenda - "On the establishment of the Organizing Committee for the preparation of a plan of events in connection with the 80th anniversary of ANAS" - was reported by scientific secretary Vafa Atayeva. She introduced the members of the Scientific Council to the composition of the Organizing Committee, and the composition of the 16-member team was approved by vote.

In current affairs, the editorial board of the scientific journal "News Collection" of Sheki RSC was approved, and a decision was made to publish the books "Haji Chalabi Khan", co-authored by the head of the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy, PhD in history Rahim Hasanov and Aydin Mammadov, and "Soz ilmeleri (scientific-journalistic articles, poems)" by Tural Adishirinov, a scientific worker of the Department of Literary and Cultural Environment, Folklore and Ethnography.
