On January 14, 2025, a senior researcher of the Department of History, Archaeology and Epigraphy of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, PhD Akif Mammadli made a comprehensive report at the event on the topic of “Azerbaijan’s Culture of Tolerance” organized by Zagatala District Executive Power and Balakan-Gabala Regional Department of Asan Service at Heydar Aliyev Center in Zagatala.

The speaker spoke about the history of the northwestern region, which has rich historical roots, multicultural values, and a tolerant tradition, and the national and spiritual values of the peoples living here in unity and brotherhood. He also noted that the employees of the Department of History, Archaeology and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC are working hard to study the history of the northwestern region.
