Employees of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS - Vafa Atayeva, PhD on biology Farhad Azizov, PhD on physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu were  presented a certificate for the patent in the direction of "Acquisition of natural-based biocomposite" by the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

As noted by the authors, the invention uses well-known technological methods, economically efficient, without harming the ecology and plants, obtaining bioextract rich in anthocyanins from dark red autumn leaves that have finished the vegetation period and modifying it with a solution of silk fibroin, which has different and superior properties than those mentioned in its prototypes and analogs refers to obtaining a natural-based biocomposite with multifunctional and high bioactivity.

Environmentally friendly biocomposite biomedical products, which contain additional antioxidant, antifungal, anticarcinogenic, antibacterial, anti-skin pathology, anti-inflammatory, anti-worm bioactive properties while retaining the properties of silk fibroin materials, cover the fields of application.

The waste at the end of the process can be freely thrown into nature.
