With the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev dated December 25, 2023, in order to strengthen international solidarity in the global fight against climate change, 2024 was declared the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World" in our country. In this regard, as in other parts of the republic, a series of events continues in Sheki.

In accordance with the action plan of Sheki RSC in accordance with the implementation of the decision No. 1/1 of the Presidium of ANAS on January 9, 2024, a tree-planting action was carried out by the employees of Sheki RSC in the area allocated by the Sheki City Executive Authority - on Zarifa Aliyeva Avenue.

In the mentioned area, 60 cypress and catalpa saplings suitable for the soil and climate conditions of the region were planted.

The purpose of the tree planting event was to contribute to the protection and health of the environment by promoting the increase of greenery and the preservation of ecological balance.
