On October 23, 2024, the next Scientific Council meeting was held at Sheki RSC.

The meeting was attended by 17 members of the Scientific Council and scientific workers.

Opening the meeting, the director of Sheki RSC, PhD on physics, dosent  Prof. Yusif Shukurlu, after introducing the participants to the issues on the agenda, provided extensive information about the first issue on the agenda - the books planned for publication in 2024. He stated that 5 books planned for 2024 at Sheki RSC are already ready for publication and will be published soon.

The director also read the response letter of academician Isa Habibbeyli entitled "The Academy is busy with its own affairs" to the article titled "If there is no science, what is the Academy of Sciences doing?" published in "Yeni Musavat" on September 11. The members of the Scientific Council considered the comprehensive response letter of Academician Isa Habibbeyli to be commendable.

The second item on the agenda - "On the participation of Sheki RSC in the competition jointly organized by ANAS and TUBITAK" was reported by the scientific secretary Vafa Atayeva. She introduced the employees of Sheki RSC with the competition conditions and announced the deadline for submitting projects to those wishing to participate in the competition.

The third issue - "On the implementation of the action plan envisaged in the decisions of the Presidium of ANAS No. 1/1, 1/2, 1/3 dated January 9, 2024" was reported by the leading scientific worker of the department of Literary and Cultural Environment, Folklore and Ethnography, Doctor of Philology, docent Prof. Kamil Adishirinov, head of the Department of History, Archaeology and Epigraphy, Doctor of Philosophy in History Rahim Hasanov, chief of the Civil Defense Headquarters of Sheki RSC Yusif Rahimov noted that the events planned for implementation in the action plan for 2024 - 2 events related to "Declaring Shusha the "Cultural Capital of the Islamic World" for 2024", 7 events related to the declaration of the "Year of Solidarity for the Green World", 2 events related to the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 1 event related to the anniversaries of prominent figures - have been implemented, and several more events will be implemented by the end of the year.

The fourth issue - the schedule for hearing annual reports by departments has been set and approved for November 18-22, 2024.

On current issues, the head of the department of Ecological Geography, PhD Gafgaz Agabalayev, scientific worker of the department of Ecological Biophysics Ayshan Salmanova, and head of the Human Resources department Ulviyya Osmanova provided information.
