On May 22, 2024, a seminar on "Artistic reflection of Nakhchivan architecture in the works of Nizami Ganjavi" was held at Sheki Regional Scientific Center.
The seminar was opened by the director of Sheki RSC, PhD on physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu said that Nizami Ganjavi is one of the geniuses that the people of Azerbaijan have given to humanity and world culture. He noted that closing today's event with the name of the genius Nizami is not accidental, because the poet's works can be a research object for any topic.
Yusif Shukurlu also noted that a special feature of May 22 is that this day is celebrated as "International Biodiversity Day". On this occasion, the director congratulated the team of Sheki RSC, which is constantly working towards the protection of biodiversity in the region.
Then the floor was given to Gunel Musayeva, the library director of Sheki RSC. In her speech "Nakhchivan architecture in Azerbaijani art", she brought to attention the information about Nakhchivan architectural monuments - Mominakhatun's tomb, Gheysariyya, Karabakhlar tomb complex, Gulustan tomb, Khanegah complex, Alinja castle, Prophet Noah's tomb, Gamigaya images.
Then Tural Adishirinov, a junior researcher of the Department of Literary-Cultural Environment, Folklore and Ethnography, gave a speech on "Nakhchivan Architectural Pearls in the Creation of Nizami Ganjavi". The speaker mentioned that the art presented in the works of Nizami Ganjavi is a rich scientific research material about the fields of painting, miniature art, marbling, engraving, architecture, theater. He added that the poet was a connoisseur of every work of art, as if he were an art critic, and sang with high artistic professionalism.
Discussions were held on both topics, proposals were made, reports were recommended to be published as scientific articles.
