Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS celebrated the 140th anniversary of "Muhammed Amin Rasulzade"

On April 4, 2024, under the organization of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS and the Central Library named after Nakam of Sheki, "On the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade", the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 30, 2023 No. 4249 in order to ensure its implementation, a scientific seminar called "Muhammed Amin Rasulzade, the founder of the Azerbaijan People's Republic" was held.

The main purpose of the event is to help the young generation learn the history of the Republic, to strengthen the work of educating them about our traditions of statehood, to educate them in self-confidence, love for the Motherland, friendship, unity, humanism, and respect for national-spiritual and universal values.

The students of Sheki State Regional College participated in the seminar.

The spirit of the great leader Haydar Aliyev, Muhammad Amin Rasulzade and our martyrs who died for the integrity of our land was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the event, Dilbar Yagubova, head of the "Service and subscription" department of the Central Library of Sheki CLS named after I. Nakam, thanked the management of Sheki Rsc for the joint organization of the scientific seminar, wished success to the work of the event, and addressed the head of History, Archeology and Epigraphy Department of Sheki RSC  Rahim Hasanov,.

Rahim Hasanov noted in his speech that Great Leader Haydar Aliyev highly valued the founders of the Republic and emphasized that today's Decree of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is a clear example of this attention and concern. The speaker informed the listeners that the creation of ANS played an exceptional role in the development of statehood traditions, many firsts were signed, state symbols were approved, women were given the right to vote, education in the Azerbaijani language was organized, and many other important issues.

Then the floor was given to Tural Adishirinov, a junior researcher of the Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography department of Sheki RSC. He gave a wide report on the Azerbaijani literature of the Republic period and the reflection of the artistic portrait of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic in the literature.

At the end, the speakers answered the questions addressed to them by the students.
