On March 28, 2024 with the organization of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, a scientific-practical conference dedicated to March 27 - "Science Day" was held in Sheki Heydar Aliyev Center. Scientists and intellectuals of Sheki RSC, Sheki City Executive Authority, Sheki-Zagatala Regional Education Department, New Azerbaijan Party Sheki regional organization, Sheki Municipality, representatives and students of Sheki branch of ASPU, Sheki physics-mathematics high school, Sheki chemistry-biology high school attended in the conference.

First, flowers were placed in front of the monument of the great leader Haydar Aliyev.

After the anthem was sung, the spirit of the great leader Haydar Aliyev and our martyrs, who died for the integrity of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Opening the conference with an introductory speech director of Sheki RSC, PhD on physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu especially emphasized the invaluable services of the great leader Haydar Aliyev and his worthy successor Mr. President Ilham Aliyev in creating conditions for Azerbaijani science. He noted that the conference has a reporting nature and the main goal is to present the latest achievements of Sheki RSC in scientific research to the public, popularize science and expand relations with the public.

Elman Imamverdiyev said that the establishment of Science Day was the result of the attention and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev to science and our intellectuals and congratulated the scientists and intellectuals of Azerbaijan on the occasion of March 27 - the Day of Science, including the scientific employees of Sheki RSC, and wished success to the work of the conference.

Yusif Shukurlu, director of Scientific Center, introduced the conference participants in detail to the achievements of Sheki RSC in 2023.

At the conference, the employees of Sheki RSC - senior researcher of the department of history, archeology and epigraphy, PhD on pedagogy, prof. Firedun Ibrahimov, senior researcher,  Ph.D. on history Akif Mammadli, Head of the Department of Landscape Studies, Ph.D. Huseyn Mustafabayli, Head of Mulberry Silkworm Breeding Department, Ph.D, docent Gudurat Bakirov, Head of the Department of Ecological Geography, Faculty of Science Gafgaz Agabalayev, head of the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy, Rahim Hasanov, scientific worker of the Department of Ecological Biophysics of Sheki RSC, Ayshan Salmanova, spoke and gave information about the work done and congratulated them on the occasion of Science Day.

Guests invited to the conference - Zamik Jabiyev, head of the education sector of Sheki district of Sheki-Zagatala Regional Education Department, Vugar Gafurov, adviser of Sheki district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, Saadat Feizullayeva, head teacher of the department of natural sciences and their technologies of Sheki branch of ASPU, who works in the field of science and education. They congratulated scientists and intellectuals on the occasion of their professional holiday - "Science Day" and wished success in their future activities.
