On February 21, 2024, a seminar on "Azerbaijani language and personality of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade" was held in the assembly hall of Sheki REM. The scientific workers of Sheki RSC participated in the seminar.

Vafa Atayeva, the Scientific Secretary of Sheki RSC, who opened the seminar with her opening speech, spoke about the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 2837 dated April 9, 2013 "The State Program on the use of the Azerbaijani language in accordance with the requirements of the time and the development of linguistics in the country", 6.2 of the State Program. In the 3rd paragraph, it was mentioned that regular educational events and trainings are planned for the purpose of correct application of Azerbaijani literary language in public administration and mass media. He added that the reason for setting the time of the event on February 21 comes from the establishment of the International Mother Language Day at the 30th session of the General Conference of UNESCO held on November 1999. He said that the celebration of the International Mother Language Day since 2000 in order to preserve the diversity of language and culture in the world is an indicator of the respect and esteem of each nation for its own language.

Then the floor was given to Aygul Khalilova, a junior researcher of the Department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC. In her speech entitled "Muhammed Amin Rasulzade and the Azerbaijani language", Aygul Khalilova explained the nature of the first official document on the declaration of the Azerbaijani language as the state language by decision No. 175 dated June 27, 1918, and pointed out that this important fact is a big step. He noted that precisely after this decision, fertile conditions were created for the widespread use of the Azerbaijani language. The speaker also spoke about the importance of Muhammad Amin Rasulzadeh's consideration of language as a stronger factor than religion. Based on Rasulzade's opinion that "language is needed to explain religion", she clarified important issues such as cleaning the language from foreign elements, turning to folklore as one of the best means of protecting our mother tongue.
