On January 31, 2024 in connection with the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 30, 2023 on the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade and the decision No. 1/3 of the Presidium of ANAS dated January 9, 2024, at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, A round table was held on the topic ""Independence to nations, freedom to people: as the main purpose of the phenomenon of Muhammad Amin Rasulzade".       

Sheki RSC's director, PhD on physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu spoke about the national awakening in Azerbaijan, the struggle of Alimardan bey Topchubashov, Ahmet Agaoglu, Ali bey Huseynzade, Hasan bey Zardabi and others against the national discrimination policy of tsarist Russia, the ever-expanding ideology of "Turkification, Islamization, and modernization" of the formation of a strong influence on M.A. Rasulzade's national , political views.

Then the professor Firedun Ibrahimov, senior researcher of the department of History, Archeology and Epigraphy of Sheki RSC. In his report entitled "Autobiographical Essay on Muhammad Amin Rasulzade", the speaker shed light on the life path of M.A. Rasulzade and provided extensive information about his life, political and literary-publicistic activities.

He noted that M.A. Rasulzade was one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic as a statesman, but also played an important role in protecting the state from crisis and was one of the personalities who fought for the preservation of independence.

Later, Rahim Hasanov, head of the History, Archeology and Epigraphy Department of Sheki RSC, spoke on the topic "Republic is the result of M.A. Rasulzade's political realism". In his speech, he said that Rasulzade is really a great politician. He emphasized that Rasulzade went down in history as a political leader who managed to direct people's opinion from Mecca to Altai, that is, to Turkism, and from there to Azerbaijanism, at a time when religious fanaticism prevailed. Rahim Hasanov spoke widely about the right and wrong steps in the political activities of the leaders of the Republic. The reporter added that no matter how many mistakes he made in political steps, it is a fact that Rasulzade  was the political leader of the time. Today, President Ilham Aliyev's Decree on the 140th anniversary of Rasulzade confirms this fact once again. The speaker also drew attention to the value given by the great leader Heydar Aliyev to the political figures of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and said that the great leader, who said that "the independent Republic of Azerbaijan is the successor of the Republic of Azerbaijan", left his mark on history as the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, and established an eternal throne in hearts as a genius.
