First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.

The director of Sheki Regional Scientific Center, PhD in physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu noted that November 17 - National Revival Day, which is one of the main stages of the freedom struggle of our people, played a historical role in the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence. He emphasized that the strengthening of the state independence of Azerbaijan is the main pillar of the Great Leader Haydar Aliyev's ideas, that this factor is the essence of the political course implemented in our country in the last 17 years, and that our independence has been further strengthened with the profound and multifaceted political course of President Ilham Aliyev.

Then, the head of Landscape department, PhD in geo-min Huseyn Mustafabayli, made a speech and said that in 1988, the masses of people flocking to Azadlig Square in the center of Baku raised the first mass protest against the Soviet empire, which kept Azerbaijan in colonial slavery for 70 years. They united like a fist and proved to the whole world that our people deserve to be free. He noted that the greatness of the powerful people's movement covers all cities and regions of our Republic.
