On October 16, 2023, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, doctor of philological sciences, academician, honored scientist of the Republic of Azerbaijan, full member of ANAS, Isa Habibbayli is 74 years old. On this occasion, director of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, Ph.D. on physics, docent Yusif Shukurlu and the staff of SRSC congratulate academician Isa Habibbayli, wish him a healthy and long life, and success in his scientific activities.

Habibbayli Isa Akbar was born on October 16, 1949 in Danzik village of Sharur district of Nakhchivan MR. In 1971, he graduated from the Nakhchivan Branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical Institute (now Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University) with a diploma of distinction in the specialty "Azerbaijani language and literature". In 1971-1975, he started working in Danzik village school of Sharur district of Nakhchivan MR. In 1975-1996, he was engaged in scientific-pedagogical activities at Nakhchivan State University, the chairman of the Student Scientific Society (1968-1971, 1975-1990), in 1991-1996 he worked as the vice-rector for scientific affairs, in 1996-2013 he was the head of the same university. He was the vice-president of ANAS in 2013-2019, first vice-president in 2019-2021, and vice-president in 2021-2022. On October 25, 2022, he was elected the president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences at the General Assembly of ANAS, and was approved for this position by the head of the country on October 26, 2022.

AR "Honorary Scientist" (1999), "Glory" (2007), "Honor" (2009), 1st degree "For Service to the Country" (2019) orders, "Rasul Rza Award" of the AWU. He was awarded the gold and silver medals of the International Turkish Academy and other medals, the badge "For the best organization of students' scientific research works". He is a laureate of Oxford University's "Name in Science" and International Socrates awards.

Member of the Ataturk Culture, Language and History Higher Institution (1999), Member of the Coordinating Council of World Azerbaijanis (2001), Full member of the International Informatization Academy (2006) and International Chingiz Aitmatov Academy (2018), University of St. Petersburg (2015) and Southern Russia University (2017) ), is an honorary doctor of Tashkent University of Uzbek Language and Literature (2021).
