On September 29, 2023, a meeting was held with the families of martyrs on the occasion of "Memorial Day" in the Sheki Khan mosque complex. Aladdin Sultanov, Elshan Abdurahmanov and Habil Khalilov, employees of the "History, archeology and epigraphy" department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS took part in the meeting. The souls of the martyrs were remembered with a minute of silence. Mammad Ahmadov, director of the "Ukhari Bash" National Historical Architectural Reserve, opened the event with an opening speech, greeted the guests and talked about the essence of the event, the meaning of "Remembrance Day", the role of our martyrs, veterans, army and soldiers in the 44-day Patriotic War. Haji Kamran Mammadov, regional veteran of Sheki and Oghuz regions, spoke and said that the role of the state, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the war of justice of Azerbaijan is irreplaceable, and as a result of his correct strategy and diplomacy, our lands were freed from the enemy. Then the Quran was read and prayers were offered to the souls of the martyrs. Aladdin Sultanov, scientific worker of the "History, archeology and epigraphy" department of Sheki RSC  gave extensive information about the peak of martyrdom in Islam and the Holy Quran. Participating in the event, research worker of "Yukharı Bash" National Historical Architectural Reserve, Zemina Rasulova, sang the poems she authored, reflecting the dear memory of our martyrs who died for the integrity of the Motherland. Elshan Abdurahmanov, scientific worker of the "History, archeology and epigraphy" department of Sheki RSC, the processes taking place in Karabakh, the I and II Karabakh war, its consequences, the determination of our army to win, the military tactical strategic plan implemented by the state and the cooperation of "state-army-people" solidarity as a result of which our lands were freed from occupation, and as a continuation of these processes, the successes we have achieved as a result of anti-terrorist operations. He noted that we owe gratitude to our martyrs and prayed for patience from God to their families and healing to our veterans.
