An event related to September 27 - Memorial Day was held in the assembly hall of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS. The dear memory of our compatriots, who were martyred for the territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan, was commemorated with a minute of silence. Opening the event with an introductory speech, the director of Sheki RSC, PhD on physics, docent  Yusif SHukurlu spoke about the bravery of our heroic sons in the 44-day Patriotic War. He noted that the Victory won in the Second Karabakh War will be remembered as one of the brightest pages in the history of Azerbaijan. Ruslan Samadov, an employee of Shrem and a participant of the 44-day Patriotic War, spoke and said that he is very happy to have participated in the battles for the territorial integrity of our Motherland. The speaker added that the name of every hero who participated in the struggle for the achievement of our territorial integrity and ensuring our happy future, who fought side by side with him, was wounded and martyred, should be engraved in history with golden letters and should never be forgotten. Huseyn Mustafabayli, the head of the "Landscape" department, noted in his speech that the road to victory in the war for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan passes through the determination, will and solidarity of the people united on the front and rear fronts. The head of "Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography" department, Irada Yusifova  made a speech and said that the enemy, who did not withstand the victory march of the Azerbaijani army, resorted to provocations and committed a war crime by targeting innocent civilians. However, none of these events could break the faith and beliefs of the people. Habil Khalilov, an employee of the "History, Archeology and Epigraphy" department, emphasized in his speech that the Azerbaijan Army, under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, freed our lands from occupation in just 44 days with the "Iron Fist" operation, and ensured the territorial integrity of our country. Sevinj Huseynova, the head of the "Work with documents" department, Namig Abdurahmanov, the head of the scientific and technical information department, and Ulkar Sarkarova, the junior researcher of the "History, archeology and epigraphy" department, spoke and wished God's mercy to our history-writing martyrs and patience to their families.
