The President of ANAS inspected the park of rare trees built in memory of the Great Leader at the Academy

Shrem.az reports with reference to the science.gov.az website that on July 29, 2023, the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli inspected the park of rare trees, in the framework of the series of events organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev that was built on the campus of ANAS.

During the event, Academician Isa Habibbayli, president of ANAS, was given detailed information about rare trees planted in the park, greening and improvement works done in the area.

It was stated that the purpose of the establishment of the Rare Trees Park is to protect the ecology, promote the sense of care for nature and to honor the dear memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, who always attached great importance to the health of the environment in our country, and to develop the tradition of greening associated with his name.

It was noted that during the tree-planting action held in April 2023, the rare and endangered flora of Azerbaijan and included in the "Red Book" Beautiful maple, Hyrkan maple, Adam's tree, ironwood, Caucasian palm, Lankaran acacia, belonging to the flora of Nakhchivan were planted in the park.

It was also emphasized that agrotechnical care is provided to the trees regularly. At the same time, an irrigation system has been established in the area and measures are being taken to protect plants from pests.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli gave instructions and recommendations to the management of the Academy campus on further enrichment of the Rare Trees Park with rare and decorative trees and shrubs.

Vice-president of ANAS, academician Irada Huseynova also participated in the event.
