A literary and cultural event was held under the theme "The image of Heydar Aliyev in the creativity of regional writers" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev organized by Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS and Sheki branch of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union in Sheki Haydar Aliyev center on July 26, 2023.

Firstly, fresh flowers were put in front of the monument of National leader. The state anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded and the remembrance of National leader  Haydar Aliyev and our martyrs were remembered.

The deputy director of scientific affairs of ANAS, PhD on biology Farhad Azizov opened the meeting. He noted that the series of events dedicated to the memory of the great leader in Sheki RSC are part of the series of events held in our republic. He wished success to the work of the event and noted that such events will continue.

Vagif Aslan, the chairman of Sheki branch of AWU, prominent poet, writer, dramatist, in his speech entitled "Looking at the personality of Heydar Aliyev" emphasized that the great leader left bright traces in modern world history with his extraordinary intelligence, innate talent, and wisdom. He brought to attention with important facts that even today world politicians benefited from the statehood experience of the National leader.

Leading researcher of the "Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography" department, Ph.D on philology, docent Kamil Adishirinov made a speech entitled "Sheki in the cultural and literary policy of Haydar Aliyev and Ilham Aliyev". He pointed out that the great leader Heydar Aliyev's exceptional role and care in the development of culture and literature, including in the formation and development of press, theater and literature in Sheki, as well as in the development of all fields in Azerbaijan, is an undeniable fact.

Balakan representative of regional writers, chairman of "Cheshme" Literary Union, Nasihat Vahidova, in her speech entitled "Heydar Aliyev's attitude towards writers", talked about Heydar Aliyev's value and appreciation of literature, his attention and care. In the end, she performed a poem dedicated to the memory of the leader.

Tural Adishirinov, chairman of the "Council of Young Scientists and Specialists" of Sheki RSC, junior researcher of the "Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography" department, in his report "The image of Heydar Aliyev in our contemporary poetry" in contemporary Azerbaijani poetry, prose and drama of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, presented the described artistic portrait based on examples and details.        

Writers of the region invited to the event: Solmaz Elgizi "My heart always beats with you", Yusif Rzayev "Heydar Aliyev is a political doctor", Adila Aslanova "Shusha", Guldana Ramazanova "It's good that we have Haydar", Zaur Ilhamoglu "What's up?" , young writer Elvin Nuri "Architect of Azerbaijan", "Hey, leader of the people", Reyhan Migdadgizi "Look, it's me, I'm the motherland" sounded their poems dedicated to the dear memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Akif Salamoglu proudly spoke about the history of the creation of the play "Baraat" dedicated to Haydar Aliyev, Elsever Ismayilov, Musa Hashimov about the endless love and care of the national leader Haydar Aliyev for the people, the state, and the people's sympathy for their leader.

At the end of the event, a video showing the multifaceted activities of the National leader was shown.

The host of the event, Irada Yusifova, head of the "Literary-cultural environment, folklore and ethnography" department, thanked the guests for their participation and invited everyone to the tea party.

Around the tea table, Afghan Rahmanov played beautiful music on the tanbur, our ancient musical instrument.
