On July 14, 2023, a seminar on "July 14, 1969, the day when the foundation of independent and powerful Azerbaijan was laid" was held at Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, dedicated to the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev. Farhad Azizov, deputy director on scientific affairs of Sheki RSC introduced the participants to the agenda, talked about the reforms carried out in the political, cultural, socio-economic spheres during the first and second leadership of the great leader Heydar Aliyev to Azerbaijan, and the preservation of the state and statehood and brought to attention his unparalleled services in development.        

Rahim Hasanov, the head of "History, Archeology and Epigraphy" department, in his report entitled "The person who broke the stereotype of Soviet national politics" mentioned that Heydar Aliyev was a unique personality and commented on the national leader's political activities in three periods. He noted that Heydar Aliyev always provided invaluable services for the welfare of Azerbaijan and signed important political steps during the times when he worked in the Soviet Security Bodies of Azerbaijan, was in power for the first time and led independent Azerbaijan. Important issues such as the opening of the "Baku Higher General Army Commanders' School" in Baku city, the construction of Guneshli, Badamdar, Hovsan, Ahmedli housing estates, the inclusion of the Azerbaijani language as the state language in the constitution of the Azerbaijan USSR for the first time in 1978, were brought to the attention of the national leader. It is an important result of the activities of the first leadership period. The speaker also shed light on the activities of Heydar Aliyev after he came to power for the second time and emphasized that the foundation of the successful policy carried out by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was laid by the great leader.

Head of "Literary environment, folklore and ethnography" department, Irada Yusifova, made a speech entitled "Heydar Aliyev as one of the phenomenal leaders of world politics". She said that Heydar Aliyev's decisive steps strengthened Azerbaijan's position as a reliable and strong ally in the world arena.
