"Medieval History of Sheki" book compiled Archival materials and newspaper articles reflecting on the basis of the ancient statehood history of Sheki, authored by Rahim Hasanov, the head of the "Historycal heritage and Ethnography" department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, dissertant of the Institute of History named after A.A. Bakikhanov and a well-known, influential media representative, research journalist Aydin Mammadov was recently published by "Science and Education" publishing house. The book was created as a result of the scientific activity of Taghi Musavi in 1960-1976, a historian and translator from South Azerbaijan who lived in the 20th century. The information presented in the book is a sign of the existence of the statehood traditions of Shaki, which have been historically formed since ancient time.

The book is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, who played an undeniable role in the development of statehood and taking a leading place in the world community after the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence.
