On June 26, 2023, the president of ANAS, academician, MP Isa Habibbayli visited Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS. Academician Isa Habibbeyli, after greeting the participants of the meeting, congratulated the employees on the occasion of the Day of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the holiday of the Holy Sacrifice. In connection with the declaration of 2023 as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" by President Ilham Aliyev, he informed about large-scale events and books published in ANAS this year. He drew attention to the reforms carried out in the National Academy of Sciences system in accordance with the scientific and theoretical ideas of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the global science policy implemented by the head of the country Ilham Aliyev and the challenges of the 21st century.

The director of Sheki RSC, docent Yusif Shukurlu greeted the President of ANAS and assessed his arrival as a significant event for the employees of the Scientific Center. Docent Y. H. Shukurlu informed the President of the Academy about the state of scientific research plans implemented in the relevant departments of Sheki RSC this year. Then, ideas were exchanged with the scientific staff of the Scientific Center about the implementation of scientific and scientific-organizational activities, existing problems, and suggestions were heard. Academician Isa Habibbeyli expressed his attitude to the given information and suggestions and emphasized that the problems mentioned during the meeting will be discussed at the next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS and appropriate decisions will be made. He also recommended that the book "Heydar Aliyev and Shaki" be prepared for publication by the last quarter of the year, referring to the National leader Heydar Aliyev's visits to Sheki and the irreplaceable role of the genius in ensuring economic and cultural development. The academician expressed the need to find the humor of Sheki, which is twinned with the Bulgarian city of Gobrovo, in a large volume and to prepare it for publication.

Later, Academician Isa Habibbeyli got acquainted with the scientific research works of the “The selection of mulberry silkworm” department and gave his recommendations.
