On June 14, 2023, an event was held in the assembly hall of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS in connection with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the National Liberation Day on June 15.

Yusif Şukurlu, director of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, who opened the event with an introductory speech, congratulated the employees on the occasion of "National Liberation Day". In his speech, he talked about Heydar Aliyev's life and activities, his state policy, becoming the savior of the Azerbaijani people, as well as socio-economic development of Azerbaijan and the renewal of its foreign policy.

As a continuation of the event, the scientific secretary of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, Elshan Abdurahmanov, gave a speech entitled "Development of national statehood: the path to salvation".  Abdurahmanov gave information about the systematicity and successes of the people's movement, as well as H.Aliyev's direction of activity and the measures implemented.

Later, the senior researcher of the "Ecological Geography" department of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, Ph.D. Qafqaz Agabalayev delivered a report on "Agrarian policy of Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan". He talked about Heydar Aliyev's concern for agriculture, the preparation of a comprehensive action plan, the construction and commissioning of the first animal husbandry complex, the beginning of a new stage of development in the economy, as well as the reforms implemented in the field of agriculture.

In the end, the reports were received with interest by the participants and interesting discussions were held on the topics.
