The 18^th of May is celebrated worldwide as "International Museums Day". On this occasion, an event called "Let's recognize and protect our cultural heritage" was organized in the home museum of Azerbaijan's national poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, located in Sheki. The event was attended by Irada Yusifova, head of "Folklore and handicrafts" department of Sheki RSC of ANAS, leading researcher Ulduz Murshudova, researcher Tarana Abdullayeva and chief specialist of the "Scientific and technical information" department Gunel Musayeva.  At the event, the director of the museum, Elshan Zakariabeyli, talked about the activity of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade's house museum, the works done during the year, the interest and love of the famous writer's work of the local and foreign guests visiting the museum. Pieces from the works of the folk poet were played, and the regular organization of such important events was emphasized.
