On April 21, 2023, the next Scientific Council meeting of Sheki RSC of ANAS was held. Yusif Shukurlu, PhD on physics, associate professor, who opened the meeting, introduced the members of the Council with the issues on the agenda and wished success to the work of the Scientific Council. He said that the current structure of the Scientific Center was presented to the Presidium of ANAS and the results regarding the structural change are expected.

The deputy director of the center on scientific affairs, PhD on boil. F. Azizov informed about the measures planned to be implemented by Sheki RSC during the month of May regarding the declaration of 2023 by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev as the "Heydar Aliyev" year.

Abdurahmanov "On the scientific and scientific-organizational activity of ANAS for 2022 and the upcoming tasks" 3.12 and 3.16 of the Decision No. 1/1 of the General Assembly dated March 16, 2023 informed about the implementation of paragraphs. He noted that the study of the lives and activities and services of prominent historical figures, scientific and cultural figures, literary-historical figures was defined as one of the priority areas, and it was recommended to include them in the planning work. In order to implement the issues arising from the decision, it is planned to organize a scientific-practical conference called "Scientists are the heirs of the prophets" on May 15 of the current year in connection with the legacy of Ayatollah Akhund Farajullah Pishnamazzade, a prominent social and religious figure, exegete scientist. . E. Abdurahmanov said that the program has been prepared, the speakers and topics of the report have been determined.

The next item on the agenda is the scientific mission to the Republic of Uzbekistan, the head of the "Mulberry silkworm breeding" department, Associate Professor Gudurat Bakirov. He said that during his scientific mission to the Republic of Uzbekistan on April 9-16, 2023, an agreement on cooperation was signed with the Tashkent Institute of Sericulture and Flowering. According to the agreement, the silkworm breeds available in the "Mulberry silkworm breeding" department of Sheki RSC and the Tashkent Institute of Sericulture and Carnation were exchanged. During the scientific visit, meetings were held with the management of various scientific and research institutions operating in Tashkent, and acquaintance with their experience was obtained. Employees of those institutions were informed about the experience and scientific results obtained by Sheki RSC in this direction. It was emphasized that it is planned to continue the scientific-research exchange in the future.

Rahim Hasanov, the head of "Historical Heritage and Ethnography" department, informed the members of the Council about the preparation of the book "Medieval History of Sheki" for printing. His work was compiled in the form of a book together with Aydın Mammadov, an employee of Sheki Culture Center named after M.F. Akhundzade. Many events related to the history of Shaki were commented on in the work, and a number of sources related to the medieval history of Shaki were translated from Persian and Arabic and included in the book. Nuances related to the history of Sheki, which have not been revealed until now, have been highlighted. He said that the editor-in-chief of the book is the head of the department of the Higher Commanders' School named after H. Aliyev, colonel, Ph.D. professor Mehman Suleymanov, the reviewers are the senior researcher of the Institute of History named after A. Bakikhanov of ANAS, Ph.D., associate professor Rashad Mustafa and ASPU Head of the "Humanities" department of Sheki branch, Ph.D. Vusal Bakhishov.
