A scientific seminar on "The role of Shusha literary environment in the development of Azerbaijani and Turkish culture (in the context of literary meetings)" with the organization of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS

On March 10, 2023 a scientific seminar on "The role of Shusha literary environment in the development of Azerbaijani and Turkish culture (in the context of literary meetings)" was held in the central library of Sheki CLS named after I.S.Nakam organized by Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS. In order to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the declaration of "Shusha city as the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2023", the Presidium of ANAS decided on December 8, 2022 No. 22/1 dated January 16, 2023 that it was a part of the proposals on the "Plan of Actions" approved by decision No. 2/2.

At the seminar, employees of the "Folklore and handicrafts", "Historical Heritage and Ethnography", "Public Relations", "Ecological biophysics", "Ecological geography" departments of Sheki RSC, as well as the central library named after I.S.Nakam, the students of the "Azerbaijani language and literature teaching" specialty of Sheki branch of ADPU and the students of Sheki Regional College participated. Opening the event, the head of the "Service and subscription" department of the central library of Sheki CLS named after I.S.Nakam, D.Sh. Yagubova, expressed her gratitude to the management of Sheki RSC for organizing the scientific seminar in their institution and wished success to the work of the event. Then, the head of "Folklore and handicrafts" department I.A.Yusifova, expressed her deep gratitude to the management of Sheki CLS for the fertile conditions created and declared "Shusha the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2023" by the Decree of the President of the country Sheki RSC provided information about the measures, its nature and scope. Later, R.R. Hasanov head of "Historical heritage and ethnography" department of Sheki RSC gave speech named "Social, political, socio-economic situation in Azerbaijan at the end of the 17th and 19th centuries", Irada Yusifova, head of "Folklore and crafts" department, "Karabakh-Shusha literary environment" from the distant past to the present", leading researcher of the department of "Folklore and crafts", docent Kamil Adishirinov "19th century literary meetings: "Majlisi-uns" literary meeting: its origin, development and literary-historical contributions", Gunel Musayeva chief specialist of the "Scientific-Technical Information" department "Women poets of the literary environment of Shusha in the 19th century" and Reyhan Manafova a researcher of the "Historical heritage and ethnography" department "The theme of Karabakh in the works of Mir Hamza Nigari, one of the Sufi poets of Karabakh". The reports included information about the social, political, socio-economic situation of the khanates in 19th century Azerbaijan, the literary environment of Shusha and the literary assemblies created there, women poets of Shusha and artists who wrote and created about Karabakh. The lectures were received with interest by the participants of the seminar and interesting discussions were held on the topics.
