On February 24, 2023, an event was held on the occasion of the anniversary of Khojaly tragedy in Sheki RSC of ANAS.

At the suggestion of the director of Sheki RSC, docent Y.H.Shukurlu, the dear memory of our compatriots who were martyred during Khojaly tragedy, as well as for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence. In his speech, docent Shukurlu drew attention to the events unfolding in Azerbaijan and neighboring countries on the eve of Khojaly tragedy, and spoke about his memories of the events of that period.

I.Yusifova, head of "Folklore and handicrafts" department, conveyed to the event participants her thoughts on the scale of Armenian vandalism during Khojaly genocide, one of the most terrible tragedies of the 20th century.

Hasanov, head of "Historical heritage and Ethnography" department, informed about objectively conveying the facts of Khojaly to the world community as a result of the purposeful policy implemented by the Azerbaijani leadership, and the essence of the events was introduced in the international world.

Head of "Ecological Geography" department, Y.Rahimov, drew attention to the illegal construction works and illegal settlement carried out by the Armenian leadership in Khojaly.

At the end of the event, a video reel and a photo booth related to the events of Khojaly were viewed.
