Employees of Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS, Tarana Abdullayeva, Gunel Musayeva and Reyhan Manafova took part in the republican scientific conference on "Our national-moral values in epics" held on April 19 at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. Opening the conference, the director of the Folklore Institute, academician Mukhtar Imanov spoke about the essence of epos, especially ashug, stressed the importance of epics in terms of studying our history and ancestry, and noted the great role of epics in the formation of moral values. Then the speeches of the participants were heard under the chairmanship of PhD on philology Ilhama Gasabova. At the conference, Tarana Abdullayeva spoke on "Advice in the Kitabi Dada Gorgud Epic", Gunel Musayeva on "Parallel moral values in the Manas Epic and Turkish Epics", Reyhan Manafova on "The influence of folklore motifs to the twentieth century Azerbaijani Soviet literature." The reports were met with interest by the conference participants and exchanged views on topics. At the end, the conference participants were awarded certificates by Academician Mukhtar Imanov.
