Seminar- event was organized at Sheki branch of ASPU with the organization of Central Scientific Library, and with the participant of ANAS Sheki RSC and Sheki branch of ASPU according to the order of the president about “Nizami year” on December 21, 2021. 

The director of Sheki RSC, PhD on physics, docent Y.H.Shukurlu opened the ceremony and dealt with declaring 2021 as “Nizami year” in our country with the order of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic and its affect to our literature, national-moral values and classic heritage.

Head of the Department of Innovative Projects and Methodological Support of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS Sayyara Mammadova noted that Nizami's genius has always been in the center of the attention of world oriental studies. She stressed that a lot of work have been done in our country to study and promote Nizami's art, scientific-critical text of his works in "Nizamishunaslig" has been prepared, and his books have been published in an elegant design and mass circulation. Among the included publications, the book "The Road to Victory: From Karabakh War to Shusha Declaration" dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War with the project management and "Foreword" by the President of ANAS, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev is distinguished. The book includes speeches of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev to the people during the Second Karabakh War and postwar, speeches at a military parade on the occasion of the historic victory, telegrams to the President, appeals to the President, decrees and orders, Shusha Declaration and joint statements of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey on this occasion.

An employee of the Karabakh Heroes Foundation of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS Habiba Aliyeva spoke about the special fund created in the Azerbaijani library system for the first time in the CSL and its main purpose is systematically collect and protect documents which dedicated to the Karabakh war. She noted that this fund will allow both local and foreign users of the library to get acquainted with our heroes, who left an invaluable mark on the history of Azerbaijan and whose names are forever written in the glorious history of our people.

Chief specialist of the Methodical Department of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS Alida Hasanova  spoke about the importance of conferences, seminars, round tables, researches, published books which dedicated to Nizami Ganjavi at ANAS.
