The scientific seminar of “Folklore and crafts” department of SRSC

On August 27, 2020 the seminar of the employees of “Folklore and crafts” department was held about folklore collecting works and results of the investigations about folklore and ethnography of minority nations living in the area of Sheki region of Azerbaijan during the last period of this year in SRSC. According to the current pandemic condition to the limited number of seminar participants it was introduced the progress of research and collection and the slides showing the obtained materials. Junior scientific worker Tural Adishirinov informed about the same and different points of Azerbaijan folklore and other minority nations. The other employee of the department Namig Abdurahmanov informed interesting facts about ceremonial and seasonal folklore, culinary culture and so on. of these minority nations. At the same time a documentary film about helding these ceremonies was introduced to the participants made by our employees. At the end different questions were answered. The director of SRSC, docent Yusif Shukurlu has stressed that Azerbaijan is a tolerant and multicultural state and The Scientific Center is also interested in learning the folklore of the minority nations living in this region. He wished the participants luck in the future researches and gave them his advice.
