The director of SRSC, PhD on physics, doc Y.H.Shukurlu noted that, as a result of the historical condition that appeared with destroying USSR at the end of the XX century, Azerbaijan people renovated state independence for the second time. October 18 is one of the most important days of our history. Azerbaijan turned one of the powerful states of the world from both political and economical aspect, and to save this independence is the moral debt of us. Then he spoke about the exceptional actions of national leader H.Aliyev in gaining independence, and President Ilham Aliyev's actions for saving independence in subsequent years.  

      Head of the “Landscape” department PhD on geology and mineralogy Huseyn Mustafabeyli spoke about the difficulties of the way to independence, making many sacrifices, but not going away the persistence of struggle, and owning an important role of freedom movement in gaining independence. He started a talk about the gained successes of science, education and culture in the period of independence in Azerbaijan.   

      Head of the “Historical Heritage and Ethnography” department Rahim Hasanov informed about the struggle of Azerbaijan for the sake of independence. He performed about the political figures of Soviet government, specially Haydar Aliyev's action, steps towards independence, and the tortures of our people.
