Jalal Alirza Aliyev was born on June 30, 1928 in Nakhchivan. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Azerbaijan State University with honors, became a doctor of biological sciences, professor. In 1976, he was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, and in 1980, a full member, and was also a foreign member of the academies of agricultural sciences of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
